Are you looking for that rare gem? Dreaming of a destination that stands out from the crowd? Do you want to take your skis to slopes where very few skiers have gone before you? In the heart of Norwegian Lapland, for example? Then put your trust in us and set off to discover the island of Seiland on this trip combining boat crossing and ski touring in the Fjords of Norway's far north!
On this first day, we meet up at Alta airport, Norway (ALF), in late afternoon. Transfer to the hotel by bus (approx. 10 mins). Dinner at your own choice. Evening and overnight in Alta.
Accommodation included on this day: hotel
Breakfast at the hotel, followed by an early morning boat transfer to Seiland Island. Arriving on the island, we head for our Guesthouse, the base camp for this stay. Settle into your room for the next 5 nights. The accommodation is comfortable. The hosts are friendly and natives of the region.
Safety briefing with the guide and equipment check before the first ski outing of the week. We set off on skis from our base camp to explore the surrounding area. The views of the Fjord are spectacular. A good warm-up followed by a beautiful descent back to the hotel for a sauna session. Dinner on site.
Meals included today: breakfast - picnic - dinner

Every day spent on the island is a chance to discover another fjord, another summit and wonder at the beauty of the scenery. The views vary all the time depending on altitude and exposure. The contrasts of light and colour between sea, sky and snow-capped mountains are perfect for contemplation (between two ski runs!).
Every day, we have a great time during the short boat transfers from the private pier at our base camp to the various departure points for the ski touring routes. We make the most of these moments to soak up the beauty of the area and spot the slopes from the sea. After each hike, we enjoy a series of great ski descents in a unique atmosphere, from peaks approaching 1,000m to the shores of the Norwegian Sea.
At the end of the day, you can relax in the sauna and outdoor hot tub and, if you're lucky, catch a glimpse of the mythical Northern Lights (very common in this region in winter). In short, this trip is a real immersion in the magical atmosphere of Norwegian Lapland...

Today, after breakfast, we embark on a 20-minute boat trip to dock on the shores of the Arctic beaches of Stjernoya Island. This smaller neighbouring island offers great potential for ski touring, with its Rundhaugen (488m) and Rottenhallen (909m) peaks. After this double ascent, we begin a long descent to sea level where the boat awaits us for the return transfer. A pleasant sauna/hot-tub session followed by dinner. With a bit of luck, the Northern Lights will also be on show on this last evening on the island!

We wake up early enough to enjoy one last ski tour of the Fjord after breakfast. No boat transfer today, so we set off on skis from the base camp. We're making the most of this last run, which rounds off an unforgettable experience in the Fjords of Norway's far north!
After check-out, it's off for the transfer back to the mainland (so we'll still have a chance to navigate today!). Back in Alta, we settled into the same hotel as when we arrived. Dinner and evening at your own choice.

Please note this itinerary is an example of a ski touring trip with Azimut in Seiland, Norway. The guide may adjust certain itineraries and ski areas according to weather and snow conditions as well as participants' abilities. We kindly ask you to respect such decision. We may also change accommodation, with the same standards, depending on logistics and availabilities.
In case practices and customs defined by the local guide authorities change, estimating the reasonable number of clients per guide, for safety reasons, Azimut respects these, even last minute, decisions. Such cases are rare and mostly related to exceptional conditions in the mountains. Therefore some compensation may be requested from your side due to less participants per guide.
