Switzerland is known worldwide for its mountains, which are among the most iconic peaks in the Alps. This reputation obviously attracts many skiers, but some secondary valleys remain relatively unknown despite their incredible potential for freeride skiing and freerando!
This is precisely where we invite you to venture out with our guides, who have found the best spots in the Valais Alps! On the agenda: a rustic, typically mountainous atmosphere, breathtaking views of glaciers and peaks over 4,000 metres high, great skiing with couloir passages and endless routes with significant vertical drops. An experience not to be missed for skiers looking for thrills, authenticity and fun!
We can meet our guide at our logistics base in Cervières or en route at Briançon station (SNCF), Turin airport (TRN), Martigny station (Switzerland) or directly in front of our hotel in Zinal.
Debriefing over a coffee, then gearing up, DVA check and off we go for a warm-up with the skis on. We head for the Garde de Bordon sector (3,000m) where some superb wilderness routes are accessible after just twenty minutes or so with skins on. The descents to Zinal offer up to 1,200m of descent. Back in the village, we settle into our hotel in Zinal for the next 3 nights. A quiet evening and dinner at the hotel.

This is followed by a nice long descent with good snow cover to the village of Saint Jean in the valley at 1,300m. A bus then takes us to the spectacular cable car that connects us with Zinal.

Please note this itinerary is an example of a ski touring trip in the Valais, Switzerland. The guide may adjust certain itineraries and ski areas according to weather and snow conditions as well as participants' abilities. We kindly ask you to respect such decision. We may also change accomodation, maintaining the same standards, according to logistics and availabilities.
In case practices and customs defined by the local guide authorities change, estimating the reasonable number of clients per guide, for safety reasons, Azimut respects these, even last minute, decisions. Such cases are rare and mostly related to exceptional conditions in the mountains. Therefore some compensation may be requested from your side due to less participants per guide.
We always do our best, but we can't guarantee the exact time of arrival at the train station (due to traffic or weather conditions). Therefore we strongly advise you to buy train tickets that can easily be modified. If you're travelling by car, we'll meet you at the arrival point, or at one of the drop of points where you'll be able to leave your car for the entire trip.
